We all know what happens when a car owner doesn’t rotate tires or change filters. Not even the best gas in the world will eliminate the inevitable: engine performance will go down, maintenance costs will go up, and engine life will decline.
We also know a great general clean each week goes a long way, but without maintaining scheduled floor care and deep cleans, maintenance needs increase, life of floors and fabrics shorten, and performance scores begin to decline.
One significant study revealed that resorts with an annual carpet care program can add a year to the life of the carpet, which could add $2,000 per unit to the capital improvement fund each year. For a resort with 500 units, that’s a one million dollar head start on capital improvements.
Deep cleans and scheduled floor care maintenance remove deeply imbedded stains and dirt: units smell fresher, housekeepers turn rooms faster, and appliances, fabrics, and carpets all last longer.
More and more, resort managers are starting a bundled deep clean/floor care maintenance schedule to protect resort assets, lower capital replacement costs, improve housekeeping performance, and raise guest satisfaction scores.
