Floor Care
From the Floor Up
Beyond appearance, the maintenance of carpet and fabric-based items affects the true cleanliness of a room or common area more than any other element. Carpet will hold about a pound of soil before it gives the appearance of being dirty. To regularly remove the odors, dust, and foreign particles that harbor in carpet and fabric, we recommend a carpet, drapery, and upholstery cleaning program at every property. It’s an investment that will reduce the frequency of fabric-based capital replacements and will improve the hospitality experience.
Our floor care technicians are certified in the proper use and care of equipment and the most effective methods of cleaning each type of surface, whether carpet, tile, laminate, or fabric.
Carpet: insoluables
About 3/4 of the soil in carpet is made up of insoluables like dirt, sand, and dust. Our floor care technicians utilize an effective dry vacuum process and frequency schedule to remove most of the insoluble soils from carpet.
Carpet: solubles
Most of the remaining soil in carpet is made up of solubles such as soda, wine, and gum, which can be removed using solvents and encapsulation. Our floor care techs are certified in the proper solvent mixture and equipment usage.
Hard floor surfaces
Our floor care technicians have the equipment and expertise to apply specific techniques for cleaning ceramic tile, terrazzo floors, stone, quarry tile, brick, and laminates. Each surface has unique cleaning and maintenance characteristics.
