Through our Operations team, we develop strategies for sustainable growth, while overseeing the management and performance of Associates and properties across the country.

Joseph P. Smith is a highly respected management professional, with more than 25 years’ experience in the hospitality industry. He joined our family in 2019, as Senior Vice President of Operations.

After graduating from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, he began his career journey as a housekeeping manager for Marriott International in Anaheim, California. He went on to hold multiple director and executive management positions at Centex Destination Properties, TerraMesa Resorts, Marriott Vacations Worldwide, and Bluegreen Vacations. Most Recently, he served as the Regional Vice President of Diamond Resorts, Florida.

Joe has been recognized for his incredible management style and leadership skills. He received the 2011 General Manager of the Year title for his work at Marriott Vacations Worldwide. He is also a licensed Community Association Manager in the state of Florida.
